A successful translation is one that you don’t notice. It’s a self-contained text which fluently, effortlessly and comprehensibly communicates all that was in the original while staying true to its style and “feel“.
With texts that require particular attention to aspects such as these, we take an editorial approach to translating. This way, you can be sure the end result addresses your intended readership in the manner and language they expect. All of our translations are produced by native-speaker translators who are up to date with the latest language usage and know the cultural dos and don’ts of their home country.
As a matter of principle, every text that leaves our desk is subject checked and double-checked. In other words, our translations are created by highly qualified native speakers with a specialist knowledge of the subject area, and then cross-checked by a colleague wherever possible. This ensures that the foreign-language rendering of the text is accurate and complete, and provides a further opportunity to improve wording, if needed. Finally, texts are passed on to the agency management to ensure every detail of the original has been included. Finding the perfect solution can involve several rounds of discussions and a degree of ‘to-ing and fro-ing’ – which all takes time, of course. But it’s well worth the effort. And besides, we love to create a perfect text!

With a wealth of experience to draw on, we establish the structures needed for our customers’ projects to run as smoothly and efficiently as possible. We work to tried-and-tested standards, which we optimise and enhance continuously.
These standards have proven particularly constructive in managing the production of texts for publications in multiple languages.
All projects are coordinated by Agency Manager Kristin Lohmann, who is also our sole point of contact for customers.
